Has anyone with merchant skills been able to do this? I tried it on my city's cantina, and all it seemed to do was make the sign vanish. Does anyone have any advice? (Yes, I'm also posting this on the merchant boards)

Haven't tried it myself, but looking at the sign 'designs', they are individual and unique to those building types, and since they obviously never meant for anyone but the mayor to have admin rights over those buildings, they probably didn't even think of what would happen if they had a merchant mayor who wanted to change signs.

Its kinda like giving wookie clothing to vendors and having all clothing dissappear...they simply didn't account for that possibility.
