When visiting neighboring cities today I came across a city who already had a shuttleport?!?

This is absolutely and totally impossible. since the update to City (shuttleport-enabled) cannot happen before Thursday evening/night (American time).

Out of curiosity I checked their City Terminal and it said 37! citizens and Rank of City ?

I assume this happened due to a manuel erroneous update by a CSR, after all nobody is perfect.

Of course it could also be some kind of strange exploit but I prefer assuming a mistake.

When I was there checking their terminal a CSR appeared, I tried talking to him about it but he wasn't very talkative *g*.When I mentioned them having a shuttleport even though this couldn't be, he said that's why he was here, but talked no more and *poofed* again suddenly .

Anyway I hope this is being taken care of as it gives an unfair advantage to this city (and they're imps to boot... narf )

Sounds like an exploit or bug to me. It's not hard for a politician to get the box needed to be able to plant a shuttleport, but having a city to support it is another matter. No city on Live right now should be at level 4, it's plain impossible. Not until the rollover this Thursday will any cities have a chance to grow to level 4.

I think I know exactly what city you are talking about. Crystal City I think it is called? Someone on the Gorath board mentioned it. Sounds like an exploit. A bug would not create a shuttle port for them

Good thing a CSR was there checking it out. It means they have heard the complaints. My city has 62 residents and is level 3. We have been growing properly (one rank per week) and will have a shuttle this Friday

Yepp Doc, same here, our city has around 60 citizens as weill, and we're (more or less) patiently waiting for our Shuttleport to be built Friday morning.

Well it could be a CSR accidentally manually gave them City Status and they made "use" of it; as mistakes are always possible I was lenient to call it a right out exploit.

What city is yours? I been taking time to check out the various player cities on Gorath I have to say that most people have done nice jobs with their cities

But I say bug or exploit since it's possible anyone with a level three city may be able to put down a shuttleport. What if the devs forgot to put in a check for it when the mayor goes to put it down?

Not that I'm saying the city and playersinvolvedare innocent, just saying maybe there's a bigger issue there. Of course the fact they knowingly leave it there makes it an exploit.

LOL, that is entirely possible. Would be kind of funny to think anyone could have placed them without worry because SOE forgot the code to check

Hence my fear of making that statement... I can see everyone rushing out now to try it just for the heck of it. Can youimagine the choas if it's true?

well Im the owner of crystal city on the lowca server and we NEVER had a shuttleport so please be weary of names used on hear say ,,Thanks and good luck to all trying for a shuttleport ..

Nah, you're safe. Different servers. I'm sure no one wants to point fingers in teh wrong direction.

The other thing I just noticed (I'm a little slow today, it is Monday after all) is the original poster's assertion that their city hall says they are a City, not a township like they should be.

I'd like to know how that happened more than how they got the shuttleport down. Like she suggested, a mistake by a CSR? There's no way a player can change that.
