I've tried looking it up, but either i'm not looking in the right places or i'm missing it lol.......
does a player have to be in the city in order to /cityban them?? if not, then how does it work??
thanks!
No, a player does not have to be inside the city tobe city banned.
However, the Mayor, or the miltia does. Just target the person you want to be banned from your city and type in /cityban
They will no longer be allowed to use or accessany of the city's buildings, garage, bank, mission terminals, shuttle, cloner, etc. ![]()
I love this feature and am very glad we still have it.
i was just about to ask that...
i've tried to type /cityban and then their name..and it wouldn't work..gave me an error mssg..
i'll try it again, but would appreciate any advice
thanks!

Both the person doing the banning and the person getting banned must be in the city limits. The mayor or militia must target the player to be banned and use the /cityban command.
To later unban a person, both must be in the city as with /cityban. The mayor or militia targets the banned player and uses the /citypardon command.

I have found that they didn't have to be in the city. Unless this is a bug we don't know about, I was able to city ban someone by targeting their name and banning them as they were out of my city. If this is not the way it's suppossed to be, than I will submit a bug. My Husband and I will try this tonight and let you know, but as far as I know, they didn't have to be inside the city limits.
Thanks Khristen
