I recently won the election in my city and I dont have admin to anything in the city. I cant even check the condition of the bank or pick up an item in the city hall. I'm wondering if this is common? I just won the election this morning so maybe I should wait until the server restarts to send in a ticket? I'm not sure what to do but has anyone heard of this happening before?

This happened when I took over. The CSR that showed up to look into it asked me to wait for the server reboot. It worked after that. Its like the city was changed, but didn't update completely until the reboot forced it to.

/bug or ticket? Using the /bug report will only report it as a bug and not get a Customer Service response. Make sure you use the in-game Holocron and choose the "Submit a Ticket" option.
For anyone that has had this happen, can you fill in some of the details of the election (who was running, if the incumbent was on the ballot, etc.) so I can add it into the bug thread? If you could find out if the previous mayor still has admin rights, too, it would be helpful. As much information as you have, really, so that it can be added into the bug list.

Ditto for me, waiting on a server reset to test this. /bug submitted, but no response as of yet

This happened to me yesterday as well. I was the only person on the ballot and had 10 votes for me, I was also not the previous mayor (obviously
). Previous mayor is taking a break from the game so I couldn't ask her to check if she still had admin rights but I know I don't (haven't had a server reset yet / haven't logged in to check but I'll let you know). I could remove stuff from the city (we had a duplicate trainer that I removed sucessfully) and I could turn on zoning and email 'citizens' just fine though.

I would go ahead and file a CS ticket using the Holocron to "Submit a Ticket" if you don't have admin to the Hall when you log back in. Let them take a look and see if they can find the problem. I'll see if I can dig up some more information on this and see if it's something they even know about.

When I logged back in today I had admin on the City Hall. I assume since it is Tuesday that the server restarted this morning but at any rate I have admin now. From what I have seen and read here I would assume that a server restart fixes the problem.

I also have been granted the full mayoral power, dunno if there was a reset, but everything seems to work as advertised now.
I guess the moral of the story is: Wait for server reset after election win.
P.S. Thx for the heads-up about the /bug /ticket...never really sent one before. Or I tried to but sent the wrong one![]()

Was just wondering if maybe this is actually working as intended.
Seems it gives the past mayor time to clear out of office, so if they had any items in the building they wanted to take back before not being able to do so.
