Thread: Becoming a Stronghold

Hi, folks!

As far as I know, if you turn your city into a Stronghold:

- Your Militia members get a +50 bonus to all defensive rolls when inside the city.
- If any of the citizens (overt) is being attacked, then you (covert) can "help" him (attack the one attacking him). This technique is the common way used to protect Novice Jedi.

But the thing is that I have never done it before (these are just my thoughts from things I've seen and heard). So, if I turn the city into a Stronghold:

1. Will the above two points be true?

2. Do I still have to add the members into the City Militia, or they will be able to behave like above just because of the fact of being a Stronghold? (adding citizens to Militia can be risky some times because you really have to trust who you add, as they are kind of powerful then).

3. Any extra information I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance.

yes they get a +50 bonus, and yes the must be on militia to recieve the bonus. and do be careful who you put on militia, they can grant zoning rights to anyone.

to be honest with ya, i dont ever specialize my city. i feel that it is a waste of thev 80k+ a week to use it, half are broken and if they do work thats cool, but the price for it is a bit rediculous

I don't think this is true... Any special abilities for Militia members to attack other player outside the normal rules of PVP were removed when they took out the citywarn command.

And I've yet to see anybody come in here with any kind of confidence and say the defensive bonus is working.

Basically, militia members are useful for giving people zoning rights and that's about it. The Stronghold specialization probably isn't worth the money it costs.
