last week in politics

eek! I managed to forget about posting on monday... this has been a strange week for me. for those of you who haven't seen my posts in other threads, we have some news coming up. I'm not suppose to mention what it is until it hits TC, but you guys would probably find out before I get a chance to don't forget to thank GreenMarine for them!

as for New Unity, it's just the usual. folks are starting to settle back into TC, but there have been crashes and such that prevents folks from logging in. on a good note, one of my militia member decided to donate another mil to the treasure so I don't have to worry about money thanks Ahsidh! other in game stuff... I'm scheduled to officiate in a wedding on TC this Friday, but it's been postponed for a week. two of my friends are getting married, and it's exciting the last time I was asked to officiate I had to go to fanfest

there's not much else I can mention until after the changes go public... so how's your city?

Aaawwwcome on the suspense is killing me. We need some good news. Spill it.

This week will be better i can feel it. I had a crappy ticket response last week to a legitimate ticket. Afew of my guildies put in tickets because they were pretty livid and one of them received about as bad a response as i did. He's the 40 year oldgrumpy british sort so he took it up with higher means. We actually are going to see some help or at least someone that recognizes the ticket responses wereceived were horrible. My confidence in SOE just got bumped up a little.

I also put in gardens for the first time. WOW. gardens on tatooine make all the difference. It's been really fun decorating the city for the first time.

You're killing us, Pappi.

Well, at least your excitement is a pretty good indication it'll be something good!

This Saturday is our big One Year Anniversary Celebration in Constellation, so we've been planning for that mostly. Hopefully we didn't try to cram too many events into one night and it'll all go smoothly and a good time will be had by all!

Gaia, Talus, Chimaera

This week we will vote for our new minister of culture (groups and events), but also we have organized our first census, question like:
- How much hour for week do you play SWG?
- Are you in a guild?
- What are your primary job?
- You will buy JTL?
- How much hour do you stay on Gaia?
- What's the primary reason you stay on Gaia?
- What you like about Gaia?
- What you don't like about Gaia?
- Do you read city mails?

I think this can be helpful for to know a little better our citizens and for try to improve our services. If someone think the results can be interesting i will post it.

We have a little problem with the city chat, some people not citizen come in it and seems like the chat is public and not "our". We have nothing against chatting with newbie or other cities citizens/guild member or enyone who come to chat a little (happen several times in a day), but its boring when little group use it like it was public. I have tell to this group to leave, now i hope that those without blame understand what i mean and remain with us for chat.

...and good week to all politician around galaxies

City of Rauha, Naboo

Only big thing happening in Rauha this weekend is our One Year Anniversary party. I made a movie for it which I posted in this forum before, and now I'll be distributing in-game tickets for the movie (with the website on it) for people to buy and browse at their leisure.

We're also holding a Clue-type lottery/contest for the people who attend the party. More details as I work them out tomorrow.

Other than that, not much - we're hovering around 81 citizens now, but I've seen a decline in activity. Not a cessation, just a decline recently. Hopefully it's not a trend. But I believe WoW Beta and EQII has something to do with it.

This week I'm going to start preparing for the next big citywide election. We elect new mayors every 6 months and I'm the third Mayor so far, my term expires in January. These new changes will make it a lot more fun this time. We had difficulties in the past with mayors not being able to step down so what we did was hold elections on our city forums and then made everybody go vote for the winner in-game. Now that the mayor voting system is actually fixed we can have a REAL campaign, and I'm looking forward to that.

We'll probably have a big party and celebration when that happens. Looks to be an interesting few weeks in Nabubu.

We are currently the largest player city on Wanderhome with 112 registered members. Our peak membership was about 160 but things have slowed down lately. We haven't ever dropped under 100 citizens which is quite an accomplishment for a city on Naboo on the Wanderhome server.
