With the new extremely reduced economy, it is going to be near impossible to keep a city alive. I don't think the devs thought about hard numbers like city costs and harvester fees when they decided this crap.

are you really serious? you can make the maintenance as a group in an hour or less doing missions. I'm not worried at all...

It'll be bad for Ghost towns I think. Not cities with active player bases.

NO this will be bad for all involved.
I'm not worried one bit, I've got a good guild to help me earn the money, I pay none of my city's expenses out of my pocket.

Our city has a huge surplus, we run it like a real city with financial responsibility.
With all the people yelling doom and gloom reminds me back of a time where they buffed up the HP on mission lairs, oh no the sky is falling. Then they reduced the pay outs on gnort lairs to around 800 from 4k, oh no the sky is falling. Then they made baznitch missions faster and actually a threat for the time, oh no the sky is falling.
Why doesn't everyone take a deep breath and wait and see what the combat rebalance may bring. I have a feeling that it will be much more group oriented and because it is harder they may even bump up the payouts for the higher level missions. I guess one thing is true now as it was back then, people with a strong guild who is team oriented has nothing to fear.

My thoughts mostly. Not neccessarily a guild, but a group of team oriented citizens.

I think it'll get rid of ghost towns, and force active players to find active cities, redistribute the population. I think that's good. There are a lot of player cities, and it'd proably be best for them to grow together.

My town is just about to hit metro so cost is going to rise up a tad but before this we were decked out for gardens and decor (what can I say I'm a decorator) and full trainers as well as a good # of terminals to make for easy running. The overall cost was just over 500k per week. Now if I where to pay that out of pocket it'd involve a buff session or so on Dant. Pretty easy. With solo groups ending I'd need to rely on people. Afterall if we where only at 80 citizens (of course this does count alts) everybody would just have to donate 25k in a month to break even. 5 starter world lvl missions (stormtrooper camps pay more then 5k each most of the time) in a month. And we've got an extravagent moron in office, any town can stay afloatwith that.
