Okay, I've done my fair share of bitching about the current "fix", so I figured I should start a thread about the positive aspects of players cities. Are there any particular features of your city that you are proud of? Buildings, decorations, view etc...

As my city, Blackrock Imperial City is an offshoot of Blackrock Imperial Garrison and located only 500M south, I figured we didn't need two city halls and opted to make this one a museum and added scupltures, paintings, statues and skeletons to it. We also have a large Imperial Command center and a fully equipped hospital. Also, our primary PA Hall has an officers lounge in it. Fun stuff.

I was able to build my city hall (museum) on the side of a mountain and it is huge!! The entry way in is almost 5 times the height of my character. It really is a focal point of the city.

Combined, both of our cities have over 160 members now and are still going strong.

My city rocks. We have shopping with some of the best crafters on Valcyn. We have landmarks that are prizes in honor of some of our events - fountains named after scavenger hunt winners, Kaadu race participants, etc. We have a little stonehenge with statues for all the founders, and we were the first I sawof many cities to do that. Our medical center has the bacta tank I just got in Aurilia. I am admined on half the buildings in the downtown area, such is the trust and friendship we have. We have memories of running home when it still felt dangerous because our mounts weren't mature enough to train and ride there. (Sure, we acted all brazen.... "run with me? no need, thanks, I'll be fine!" /clone.)

We usually date some kind of food or artisan item with the names of our events. Those nemodian bird cages are nice as candle holders hanging from the ceiling.... and people get a little momento of the event (food) or of placing (some kind of trophy). Then we use them as decorating props and visitors know we are a longstanding, active, fun city.

And, I'm not the mayor (hope guild leaders are welcome here!)and no dakk I don't want your job, just poking into the poli forums 'cause there's interesting discussion here.

Yeah the poli forum is different from some of the other forums I have checked. All I see is threads titled "Check out my template, is it any good?" I hate seeing that, so nice to see actual topics being discussed here, and not only SWG topics. I believe there was a argument going about Ice Cream...
