Before becoming Mayor, I have been a Master Doc and I placed a Med Ctr a long time ago. I have declared my residency there to avoid having to place a house also. Now I was justelected Mayor. (Thank you Thank you)

Due to changes in my character, I was about to drop Doc and wanted to transfer the Med Ctr to my alt who is also a Master Doc. Here's the question:

If I drop a house and declare residency there, without removing residency from the Med Ctr first, does it hurt me being the Mayor to have my residency moved? I know what I shouldn't do is transfer the structure first. That would take me out of the citizenship report completely. We don't want that. lol

So any thoughts and assistance would be appreciated. I know that I have alot of reading in this forum to do, but I was just elected tonight and need to transfer the Med Ctr as soon as possible.

if you become mayor your residencey automatically changes to the city hall and cannot be changed while you are the mayor

Well I was told that too. But when I checked the Med Ctr, it still says that I have declared my residency there. So it worried me to just take that on blind faith. I'd hate to be Mayor and due to some stupid lot move on my part loose citizenship to my own city! LOL

(then itwould really $uck to be me)

It is a default. Even if you are registered soemwhere else, as soon as you become mayor your residency moves. Then if you were to lose your title, your residency would shift to where it was before you were elected.
