Thread: got a big problem, any help really appreciated...

Hi guys, like I said I got a real pain in the a*s here....
I'm starting out on a new venture, which will benefit from me placing a guild hall in our town, now i have picked out a prime spot to place the GH but it wont fit cos of someones house. Now, this house belongs to a freind of mine who's account has ended so I cant get him to redeed it, but I am on admin,however, I saw yesterday that the maintenance will not run out for another 65 days, I cannot wait that long to place my hall, I cannot redeed it because you have to be the owner, I cant contact him because he's left the game, is there anything i can do to get it moved, redeeded or even destroyed, its empty and not needed or wanted any more.
Thx in advance, any help will be gratefully received.

You can try a CSR, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. There are always the character purge which is supposedly on the way, but your friend has to be inactive for 6 months. Outside of that, there isn't anything you can do. I would definitely try to find a newlocation for your guild hall, because odds are you won't be able to get the house moved.
And please, take the time to read the other threads about this topic before posting a new one. There are a few other active threads floating around that covers the same topic, but they go a lot more in depth and will answer your question better.

the only viable option is to wait until maint runs out. if you can't wait so long, get the owner to come back and ask him to remove it. CSRs won't remove houses unless you own it.

But houses / structures don't poof anymore when maintenance runs out right - it just becomes condemned. Right?
I wouldn't hold your breath on a CSR moving the house for you. Our city had a situation where a member actually died in real life and they wouldnt pick up the houses for us and move them. We even asked them not to destroy them just to put them in inventory and they said no sorry you have to wait for them to poof when maintenance runs down.

wow, thx for all the replies, I'm a bit surprised that mayors or guild leaders cant redeed empty houses of those whose accounts have expired tbh, I would've thought something could be done somehow.So I am stuck with waiting for it to go pooof, but now they have introduced a new feature whereby if your house runs out of maintenance it begins to deduct it from your bank account, so I think I may aswell forget the spot I wanted and go somewhere else.... bugger.
