Thread: Cloning Center Woes

I'm wondering if anyone knows if banning from the city will block players from using our cloning center... we're concerned because we'd planned to have the cloning center beside our HQ for defensive purposes... however we have no desire to grief opposing faction players... problem arising if attackers have not cloned in a different cloning center on the planet when they attack they'd be forced to clone to our center... being close to our cloning center the covert scanners would scan them and kill them on the spot... creating a viscious cycle... my hope is by banning these individuals the next nearest cloning facility will appear as their option to clone to... its not a pleasant thought so I thought i'd ask the general public if they knew how this worked... and barring this I'd like a petition to fix this...

I would expect that being /cityBanned will prevent you from cloning at that center. Not entirely sure, though.

got a problem with my cloning center i placed today.

i can't decorate it.

if i use the /move forward or /move back commands, all items instantly move inside the clone tube. if i'm on the upper level, it puts them where i can't see them, and i needed a CSR to come retrieve the items.

if i'm on the basement level, it moves them into the tube, but i can see them, so i can pick them up.

i cannot use the /move up and /move down commands

rotate commands work as they should.

is this a known issue for tatooine cloning centers?

On a very positive note, 1 minute after submitting a CSR Ticket about the items lost in the clone tube, CSR-JasonP sent me a tell and showed up at the cloner to retrieve my items.

I was extremely overwhelmed at just how fast my ticket was taken care of.

customer service is indeed getting better and better.

this is a good time to be in SWG, i can till that this is the beginning of some great strides towards making this game even better.

another positive note, lots of new stuff on the Lok Planetary Map:

New Kabala - City

New Kabala - Cloning Facility

New Kabala's Cantina - The Krusty Kimogila

New Kabala - Parking Garage

New Kabala's Medical Center - Saint Kiatra Memorial Hospital (named after Kiatra, one of our founding members who had to quit the game back in december for monetary reason)

Also, with our Improved Job Market, i can get paid 9.6k credits for killing 3 Rebels and a Flag.

You can still decorate it, just not as nicely as with the /move commands....and it takes a hell of a lot longer. I've got mine decked out a bit and am happy with the look. Think of simple 1 story designs and use the grids on the floor to make sure you're lining things up. If it weren't for those rivets I'd agree, it'd be almost impossible, god bless accidental fortune

Not being able to /move items is a pain, but I have successfully decorated our cloning center as well. Obviously its not as slick as if there were more abilities to get things just so, but ours still looks pretty good. (My favorite part is a 3PO droid named :Welcome to Nar Emiki, we are sorry you died.) Most cloning centers I have seen on my server aren't decorated at all. Hopefully the issue will be addressed sometime in the future.

In my opinion the cloning house is best as storage only. Im putting my 100k resource containers there andsome loot. And a notice on the floor saying:"Did you die? Muhahahahh" plus a locker which says "If you're a rebel please put all of your property here"
