Thread: Any idea when taxes are going to work again

Makes it rather hard for a player city to support itself when they cant collect taxes.
Guess the mayors will need to run some Fund Raiser events.
That, and get thecitizens to donate to the city. Everytime my treasury gets to the 3 week mark, I send out an email that the treasury is low. I put my request for donations in the email we receive that shows what the weekly cost was. This shows to the citizens that the city cost 761K last week, and we have 3 weeks left. I get 5K donations, 100K donations...even a couple 5Mil donations. Most people realize that with taxes turned off (as mine are) they are responsible for giving to keep their city up and running. I have had to donate very little of my money to the city because of this. Of course I have spent a huge amount of time workingin the city and flying back from the ends of the galaxy to /grant someone, though so I see that as my contribution.
The citizens of a city should be able to support it in donations. No city should run out...unless they have only a few citizens left...at which point the system kicks in as designed and the city falls.

If you really want to know when it will be fixed just watch for when Pappi is no longer the correspondent here. shortly there after we probably see some fixes since a new person proabbly would start pestering devs about fixes for stuff that has been broken for what 15 months now and counting????
Amen and agree.

The only sales tax that works is if you bump it to 10%.
I have to double check it in live, but that got broke in TC with this last patch when they were messing with the vendor code. ![]()

And then there is always the question as to why Pappi did not respond to this post. Pappi seems to like to post in the Merchant forum as I saw the name on several posts.
Maybe its time for a new correspondent??????
