Does anyone no how to find out how many player cities, regardless of rank, are on a planet?

Aside from covering every square meter of the planet, there is no way to know. You can tell how many level 3+ cities there are, assuming every single one of them is registered.

Checking the map for rank III cities and comparing it to a list of rank IV cities (use the terminal at the shuttleport to determine which cities have shuttles) is a good way to count those. Rank 1 and 2 can't be counted without looking for them.

Actually, if you bring up your planet map and check for BANKS and MISSION TERMINALS, this is a very good indication of how may cities are on the planet. Even if a City is not registered, they will most likely have terminals and a Bank. Some cities do not place Shuttleports either, if they are close to a planet outpost/city -but most every city will have a bank.

I don't think the bank thing will work, because rank III cities that register don't just get a spot on the map - city facilities can be located with the /find command, and the individual facilities (cantina, bank, etc) are registered on the map only if the city is.
