I currently have 58 citizens and the city is still expanding
however, at the beginning I was recuriting a lot of newbies who I have not seen to come online for a long long time. In view of the 2 week period in patch 7, if they really have not logged in for the past week, they lose citizenship and therefore I city level will decrease from 4 to 3 but will this mean that my shuttleport will be destroyed or will it remain there but in-active? Thanks!

from here..
http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/recent_updates.jsp?page=Recent%20Updates
we see this:
Citizens will now be removed from a city if they haven't been online for about 6 weeks.
where did this 2 week thing come from?
i belive that if your city goes below rank 4 you will get an e-mail telling you that you no longer qualify for certain structures. these may include things like gardens, shuttleport etc as well as number of trainers and other decorations etc's. you have 1 week to get your population back over the 55 mark so you can get back to rank 4 at the next update.. after the next city update if you have not made up the numbers then you will start losing the structures etc. this may not be 100% correct, but i do remember reading that you do not lose them all right away. you will have a week to get the numbers back up.

2 weeks is on Test Center, so some people automatically assumed it's gonna be the same in life. Stop panicking, folks - they speed up game systems on TC so that they can test things before they go life.
