Now that the NDA is lifted....
As of right now, the multipassenger ships - to include the veteran award "Lady Luck" - hold 75 items AND take up one of your lots when you generate and decorate it.
There were several people that posted in the beta forums that they would have to pull up their house in order to free up a lot to have one of these ships. Some even said they would just "live on their ship."
Well, I see that as a potential disaster for Mayors struggling already to maintain a city's population. Those citizens, usually crafters, that are already pushed to the limit on storage may have to leave the city in order to take advantage of their veteran "reward."

living just in a ship sounds nice now
but won t work for long
cause everytime you need a part of your stuff you ve to go to the next startport, launch into space (loading), get your stuff, fly to the next space station(waiting) , land(loading)
so maybe some people do that now but i m sure not for long

Biggest problem about "living in a ship" will probably be the far too low item limit of 75 items/ship ... you either decorate the ship or use it as a very small storage space (2-3 small houses with 150 items are too small already, especially for longtime players) ...
I don't think with all the loot you get "up there" that you really can afford to pull down your house. But I do think that players will definitly be in space more often than in the city, effectivly making them more ghosty than they are now.

I would not worry about it. Being that the Lady Luck CAN be blown up (though never completely destroyed) it would get expensive to repair it often. Also, the 75 item limit is a joke for a house so it would never work for most people.

from what i read, if you store items in just one multiperson ship, it does not use up lots.
if you have a second one, then i think it said that either one or both of the ships will use up one lot each. but i know that i've read on several threads in the JTL Beta boards that the Sorosuub will NOT use up lots if you just have that one decorated.

I thought about that as well, but the hassle of having to launch your ship everytime you want to retrieve something will probably cause people to keep their houses. I just wish they'd up the number of items we could have in buildings a bit... like 150 small, 250 medium, 350 large, and 500 PA. Right now the storage levels are way too low and JtL will add a lot more stuff to store.

isn't the 150 for a small only for Naboo Smalls?
the citizens of my city on Lok get 150 items in a small Tatooine house. unfortunatly, you also get 150 in a medium. and 250 for a large and a PA Hall.

it's 75 items/lot with a max of 250 items ...
So small Naboo style 1 and tents carry 75 items (same as ships)
small and medium 150
theaters and hospitals 225
large, Cantinas and PA-Halls 250 (paying way to many lots for same item count)
Increasing the item storage will probably not happen in near futur, since the Devs are always whining about their oh so tight storagespace ...
Oh, and on the lots/ship ... this is what TH last said:

TH please answer this, im confused right now. Look at this example and please answer when you can
1 Multiship that is decorateable: 1 lot
2 Multiship that is decorateable: 2 lots
This one is correct.

Not true. Tested and confirmed on Beta.
I had 10 lots avaialable. I generated my "Lady Luck", flew it, landed again. I now only had 9 lots available.
I do not believe it even matters whether you decorate it or not - you generate the storage capability when you generate the ship.

so, for those of us that get the lady luck, we now only have 9 lots available. since it cannot be destroyed, we will never be able to get that lot back again.

I think the fighters with gunner controled turrents will still be available to you, like the Y-Wing and one of the higher level TIEs (not sure if the freelance pilots get one). I don't think they have storage space even though they are technically "multiplayer".
