Politician Archive
Thread: This week in politics: 10/18/04
There's no politics in New Unity this week, so maybe I'll actually get around to put our top issue list together (again, in some odd specific format) otherwise, I don't have any mayoral duties
so how is your city this week? *glares at anyone whining about server-related city issues*

Last three weeks has been interesting. Citizenship is still stable but have learned that I will lose a few residents by the 15th of November. With the upcoming purge I am beginning to worry about losing our shuttleport. So I have all residents keeping ears and eyes open for possible new residents. In addition, we are trying to figure out who is planning to be the shipwright when JTL comes out.
During a town hall meeting wetalked about disbanding the city and relocating. Needless to say, those in attendance didn't like the idea of moving all their stuff. We also talked of merging with another player city. This didn't go all that well either. The idea to auction rare items off to help fund the city treasury was a hit but so far has not be as successful as I hoped it would be.
Finally, this weekend I had finally decided that I wanted to step down as mayor to pursue something else. It was enjoyable as well as frustrating in the beginning, but the lack of any real ability in the profession makes keeping this profession nothing but a waste of skillpoints.
