Since there's a lot of concern about the announced account purge and its effects on City populations, and because I just spent like 20 minutes digging up this link, I figured this warranted its own thread.
Tiggs has officially said the purge won't be coming "mid-October" as already planned (and which has already passed, heh).
Here's a clicky to read the actual question and reply straight from Tiggs herself:
From Tiggs:
"This has been delayed until further notice and we will let you know in advance when it will go into affect."

Not suprising... it seems like doing a mid Oct purge would have destroyed a lot of houses of people that might be coming back to try the expansion. Nothing would turn off a returning player faster than finding all their stuff "purged"

I'd expect this to happen mid to late febuary. just based on the slowness of business and the fact christmas rush will be over.

While I'd like to see this happen sooner, I feel that you are pretty much right on target with this time frames. It will give them time to mess with some patching and then to get at least one more big publish in the game.

Perhaps with this, some ghost cities will donwgrade, we wish upgrade our city
