I'd just like to see a red line in "deed mode" or something to designate whether you are in or out of the city. I hate it when the new guy's house is 5 meters off and we really don't have a clue as to it until he drops.

Oh the good old pre-release days ... back then city boarders where supposed to be visible through transperant lines on the ground (kind of like the path guide /find gives you) ... also there should be a pop-up with information to how often /citywarn was used etc. so players could decide to enter the city or not ...
yeah ... the good old days ...*wanders into dreams*

I'd like my player city to be surrounded by those same pylons that surround the non-functioning GCW battlegrounds. That way people could see where the city limit was. It could also prevent someone from building right on the line.

Actually I would prefer walls........... Say for ever wall segment you place it cost you 1000 credit , ok only those who really want a walled city would spent the 100s of thousand credits to completely wall their city.
Also could possible put that abiliyt under stronghold.

Please, please put this in the game...
Tonight I tried to place a few harvesters near a city whose boundary happen to coincide with the high concentration mark on my survey tool. I tried to refrain from building in the city, but couldn't tell where the boundary was. So I ended up 'redeeding' my heavy harvesters a few times (at the cost of a 10 large) before giving up and driving 5 klicks away.
If there is no boundary, then a city should be required to warn you before you drop a harvester. Not just the little warning 'You've entered Megalopolis' either.
Even better would be the suggestion above where a footprint of the city is visible in deed mode.

My citizens have responded favorably to my placing 8 gungan heads at the compass points marking city bounds around the city, i.e. NW, N, NE, E, SE, etc. Soon I may change them out for the circular braziers for more flashy looks.
Its the best way I have come up with marking city borders without being too tacky or weighing down my options for city beautification.

I like that idea ![]()
I might ask my mayor to try something like it, maybe with lightposts though, and 16 instead of 8?

Unfortunately they take precious decoration lots, which we don't have many ![]()
Using a red line in theoverhead deeding mode would be probably easy to program. I have solved the problem my drawing a city map which also shows the radius.
