I had this idea about player cities having libraries. A player can select a book and they get an abstract about the book and if they want to read it, a pdf version gets downloaded into the galaxies directory for later perusal.

What do you think?

The new SWG paradigm brought to you by the ROTW expansion/CURB: "It's okay to make combat players have to form large groups to kill bunnies and puppies, but don't you DARE force a combat player to interact with anyone where the interaction involves anything other than hitting and shooting in unison."

Which type of contents? I would suggest:

- Information to complete long quests
- Information that leads to new quests
- Knowledge to improve skills

Governor Tarkin: "The Jedi are extinct. You my friend are all that remains of their religion."
Lord Vader: "You don't get out much, do you?"

Maybe if a diary was added to the ground game, then different stories (esp the idea of granting skills by studying) can be uploaded to that. However if you have to minimize to go read on adobe acrobat then I'll just save my time and the dev's time for such an investment and just hit allakhazam.com Thats my library.

The city hall has data banks , I don't think this is a good idea to have. We have forums and websites for people that want to cheat and get walk throughs.

Now if the library had information on NPC characters that would hold quest tips and hints this would be a good idea... but then maybe in the npc cities and I doubt it would serve any purpose other than to add more data into the galaxies database.
