I feel there was a change in the "closest cloning facility." I am currently cloned in DG, Corellia. Our city is 3k from there, and we are equiped with a cloning facility; however, when I was slain less than 100m from our cloning facility, I got only the option to clone in DG (where my clone is stored).

bleh...sorry about not finishing prev post.

At any rate, prior patch when I died near our cloning center, I was able to choose closest or pre-designated.

In answer to your question, I do not believe there is a way to ban an entire guild.

Last night I cloned and I got the options for Pre designated or Closest...but they were the same facility, so I dunno if that means anything in this case.

You can go to your PA Hall and declare war on the other PA. That way anytime you see any members from that other PA, you can kill them on sight.

Hadn't thought of that, Hallauer. Does the guild you propose war on have to accept also?

I have been told that you can ban an entire guild by entering the name guild:xxxx ona structureban list.

Yes, they do have to accept. And it also means that all members of your guild are open to attacks from all members of their guild AT ALL TIMES so I hope you don't have any entertainers or crafters or people who ride shuttles a lot because they'll get ganked. And then the other guild will go to the clone center and kill them in the tubes over and over and over as soon as they respawn until all their items have decayed.

This is why no one seriously uses guildwar, and any wars that are declared end within a few days.

guild:xxxx syntax does not work onseveral permissionlists, including city ban and building admin.

the ban guild:<name> works for houses but will not work (that i know of) to the ban of the city. you have to do each person <target> and /ban. I am still not sure if that prevents them from using the clone becuse pre patch ban did make it to ours when they stored data, I think. This has never been clear to me.

There was a change not long ago with cloning facilities. If you do not clone in a PC cloning facility you will no longer get the option to go there. The "nearest" facility will ALWAYS take you to an NPC city. Must have been some griefing with faction people. I can imagine a rebel getting sent to Imp city cloning station - over and over and over.

you invite all the opposing guild members to your city and have them stand in a straight line... at this point you proceed to select each one individually and ban them...

hey if they are good sports this may just work...

but the guild war option is great for roleplaying purposes... extended war and diplomacy would be a great oppurtunity for the right people... since it has to be consentual, you can always impose special rules, mutually, between the guilds to make this interaction fun...
