Hi,

My name is Khameer Eth and I play on Bloodfin. My guild and I wished to form a player city on Tat. but we got hit by the city cap, even after the patch yesterday. So I was wondering what other PA's and PA leaders and aspiring politicians believe in regards to player cities caps. I would like 1 of 2 things to happen:

1. Do away with player city caps to allow for many to make city. Although im not sure if that is probable with server issues.

or

2. Change the player city limit to 50 player cities allowed on Tat, or at least more than 20, since Tat is probably the most populated of the starting planets and is constantly traveled on by both the elite and noob players. It would benefit both groups to do this as well as the loyal PA's who have remained on Tat and would not be forced to change their "lives" if they wish to create a player city. This would also create more jobs for you politicians.

What you all say?

50 player cities on a single planet is completely ridiculous. There would be one within visual sight of every city. Cities were not intended to be for guilds to get a cloning center and a shuttleport. They are for players. If you really require your own city, then your best bet is to move to another planet that hasn't reached it's cap yet. I'm truly sorry you wanted to have your own city and have missed out twice, but having even more player cities is nuts. Just my opinion, flame at will.

I say your propositions, plural both of them, are selfish and pety... I was firmly against raising the player city caps and still am... I feel that this was a huge mistake... I didn't see it at first, but this opinion has grown on me over the last few weeks.

I would even go as far as sayinf the original caps of 25 cities on the unsettled worlds were too many... they should have been capped at 20, only an opinion..

Before you flame me... yes I was able to place a city the first time around... I have worked very hard since to make my city the best it can be.. I have invited numerous guilds to join "my" city and make it their own... I say my because i am the mayor, and still am... I have done so at great risk of losing my position as mayor and if the wrong mayor gets elected losing all that I have invested... monatary, emotional, and otherwise.

now that all these new cities are being allowed, my city is being nerfed... only so someone who didn't have the state of mind and presence of being to make themselves part of another existing city can have his little tiny playground...

sorry if you feel this ia a flame towards you... it is not... I am truly upset by this and would like to see something done about it... whatever it may be.

just another small item I neglected to mention... the player population can't support this many cities.... instead of making the game more worthwhile for all this will simply hinder everyone who has worked as hard as they have over the last month to be part of something they can call their own.

and I'm not talking about anyone taking ownership of a city... but the community and it's members feeling they are a part of something greater than themselves...

geez call me a spammer... there where over 100 player run cities on each server prior to yesterdays patch... I can't believe anyone could not have been able to join one of those... with the mayors of each and everyone one of them lobbying and spamming to get new citizens in at whatever the cost...

this is about nothing but ego as far as I'm concerned

in response to the ego thing, one of our main goals was to protect the rebel republic at AH from raids from Bestine and the surrounding imp citiesso i wouldn't go as far as to say that ego is the only factor,

I liked how Saruman turned out to be Frodo's father and how Saruman ends up throwing Sauron into the volcano at the end to redeem himself.

I don't want to see 100 cities on each planet or anything, but 10 was a number they plucked from the sky. I think the big three can take a few more cities without much of a problem, especially as most of those will be forced to stay small. I agree that the idea of one PA = one city is not that advisable. But you shouldn't assume that's what everyone that placed this time wanted. Nor that those that placed the first time didn't... there are still private PA cities out there from the first go. People aren't better or worse for when they placed their city.

Bria ended up with Naboo turning into a battlezone of strongly faction aligned cities, mostly next door to each other (between Theed and Kaadara). This is great for the PAs that organised it, and I'm not saying it was wrong of them. They like it. But for people wanting a neutral trading town, in the idyllic Naboo landscape, it wasn't so great. Naboo is home to many people, and somewhere more classicly Nabooish was missing from the place. This time round, I know at least our neutral city made it. I think a few more might have. I don't think it's evil or ego driven to not like the city choices you're offered... not out of a desire to self-name a city or be mayor, but just because you don't find them nice places to live. Every server and planet has a different mix of cities, so it shouldn't be assumed that because one server got ten diverse cities spread across the map, that all servers did. Raising the caps a little increased the odds, and I welcome the added diversity.

But whatever you think, at the end of the day, those cities are there. At least give the new cities, and their residents, a chance to make something of it. Don't assume instantly they're bad people because they missed the first cap. The cap was about random chance, not worthiness.
