It's very annoying that all militia have the same set of rights..
I wish there were ranks of Militia.
Say some ranks would grant all privilages.
Other ranks would only grant /cityban
and another set that only grants /grantzoningrights.
Perhaps just like the guild ranking system where you can set some people to send guild mails, or sponsor or even accept members.
It's very hard to have a nice big group of defenders for the city, when you have to deal with getting all the members to listen to the rules Not to grant rights for zoning...
Very annoying when you are trying to plan a very organized city...
Anyone have any thoughts? Better Ideas? Any Ideas to deal with militia and the /grantzoningrights issue as it is now?

i don't see what being in the militia and granting zoning rights have to do with each other. i don't believe that being in the militia should include the right to grant zoning. the militia shoud just be about defending the city and a new position should be made (maybe zoning board or city planner) to grant the zoning rights. i also agree with your idea for militia ranking or levels. as it is, everyone in the militia is equal so there can be no leadership positions. as a result our city only has a select few who are able to be in the militia. there should at least be a militia captan who is in charge of the whole militia and maybe a second in command. i believe that this would add a level of realism to the militia. i'm also all for the idea of a new city structure, the militia headquaters. i don't really have any ideas what this building should do, but it would give the militia more of an identity.
oh well...just some ideas

Well, they told us when they pulled /citywarn that they'd be "looking" at other means for Cities to exercise control over activities within their borders .... and it promptly dropped completely off the radar, leaving Cities completely powerless to prevent griefing and harassment.
I've lost count of the broken systems and broken promises, but it's a darned shame.
