I am trying to step down as mayor in my city. However the votes are coming in to my replacement, as this was planned, BUT, there still seems to not be enough people voting for my replacement.

So my questions are:

1) If I totally give up Politician, alltogether, and my replacement stays on the ballot, will the votes automatically go to her?

2) Since she will be only Novice, will we lose any buildings/trainers or anything like that?

3) What should I expect if I do this? As my goal is not to screw over my city and it's people, as this was planned, but at the same time, some people of my city don't seem to be voting as they should be.

Thanks for you help in Advance.

2) Since she will be only Novice, will we lose any buildings/trainers or anything like that? The city will remain in whatever state you left it at. She, however will not be able to make any changes until she get the skills. So no swaping out trainers until she get Civic Policy 2.

There are reports that dropping novice politician will have no affect on the city. You will not be able to do any city actions, but you would still be mayor regardless. Some also say that dropping will destroy the city, however, the system would lead us to believe that once something is in place it will remain regardless of your skills.

Thanks for you help in Advance. Np

I made a "request" to test and some players have claim that dropping all skills and you still be mayor.. only way to give up is either vote out or kill city hall (shudder on the latter)

the way I did it was trying to recruit more people to counter the vote... if you are getting the city to vote you our.. you should be "close" with your opponent.
