a. Three weeks inactive and citizenship should be revoked

b. Six weeks inactive and citizenship should be revoked

c. Three or Six weeks is ok but have the citizen standing and structure removed (Deed and contents put into the inactive players inventory)

d. Redefine what qualifies as inactive and then maybe c.

e. Leave it as is (None of the above)

Anything that will cause things to "remove" would be a bad thing at this junction.... what if the coding goes wrong and just remove people every 3 hours instead of 3 week? (like cities that update everyday instead of once a week?)

this can cause problems.

Something has to be done for inactive players, or cities that are based on dummy accounts. Could you emagin a Metropolis with only 20 or so active players? That's dumb!!! As for the case of multiple account users etc. it should be left alone. Such as is with some people who might grind out one character for a month or so. Perhaps the "6 weeks". Some People might even take a break for a month or two, go off and play AO (BA HA) or Everquest etc. If someone is keeping up their account, they should still be able to remain a citizen... Perhaps not for months and months on end, however it should be "redefined"!

leave as it is.

if you MUST push forward with this idea, 3 months is the minimum i see as viable. house deed and all structuresowned by inactive player removed from the city limits. since many players have thier houses full of furnature, i dont see how their belongings could get put into thier inventory. perhaps warehouse it ,store inventory data from date they went inactive in a database. when they reactivate (if ever) their deeds are on them and when placed and maint paid, the option to 'deliver contents from storage' pops up. if they chose yes, their items are downloaded, if no then the items are destroyed.

of course any changes are liable to CAUSE more problems than they solve, so i say again....

leave it as it is

This is kind of a silly poll. If you are in support of citizen revocation, chances are you will pick C from the choices - even though we all know that is not technically feasible at the moment and it would be months before they could code in a feature like that. A/B are the realistic choices but of course everyone would prefer to be able to (re)move the citizens structure at the same time to make room for new people.

I do feel that they really need to do something about the inactive cities though. It is just not fair to have these big ghost towns waking up space in the cap while an active city is held back.

I'm not clear on what is silly about it.

SOE seems poised to do something in the a or b category. How do we, as politicians, feel about it?

a & b are saying, "ok, go ahead and do it soon because this is important"

c is saying "ok, but wait until we can reclaim the land"

d & e are saying "whoa, this is not a good idea. Go back to the drawing board"

If it is silly to suggest that a & b should be an option then it is silly for SOE to impliment. If the majority of the politicians do not support a or b then it should send a clear message to SOE not to do it.

I agree that a & b are silly but hey, I didn't suggest it, SOE did. Personally I prefer D.

What about inactivity - not of the account - but track whether the citizen has set foot in town in 3 weeks. This will help with citizens who have moved away but a bug is keeping them on the rosters of the original city.
