Hello there!

I want to start a new player city on Tatooine. I allready have a Generic Guild Hall (prefer a Tatooine Guld Hall).

I just chatted with a CSR and he told me that the 10 day rule was not enforced. He said that what mattered was that the maintenace was paid. Have you found this to be true?

Also, do you have any ideas on where to obtain a City Hall?

Any information not covered in the manual would be greatly appreciated including web sites or links for newbie politicians.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I think you are confusing things.

  1. A PA hall is only for the creation of a guild. It has no affect on a city.

  2. You need a City Hall for a city. Architects can make these.

  3. You need 10 people to declare within the city limits within 24 hours to keep the city.

  4. The 10 day rule applies to PAs.

  5. City populations does matter.

  6. I would be most certain that Tatooine has reached its player city cap on all servers.

  7. Go you the home page of Start Wars galaxies and click Advanced Player Guides, there will be a section on Player Cities there.

Dude, read the FAQ or you will find that people flame you which is not want you want!!!!

But let me throw you a bone here:

First, a GUILD HALL has nothing to do with a Player City - you can place one anywhere you like, it does not give you a city, only the ability to create a guild. To create a City you need a City Hall (obviously!)

You buy a CITY HALL from an Architect, and then you have 24 hours to get 10 citizens to move into your city when you place it, or it will be destroyed. You will only be able to place a city if your planet has any slots available - there is a cap to the number of cities allowed.

If you want to make it work, you are going to have to research the basics - read the FAQ and posts on this board, and the Advanced Player City guide on the SOE site to save you time and gried.

And like Kairo said, the city limit on Tatooine is most certainly been reached on such a high traffic, low-limit planet as Tatooine. If you really are set on forming a city, you may want to check out Dantooine. I have no idea what it's like on Radiant, but on Kauri it was about the only planet left that had not reached its city limit. But be sure you have at least 10 people lined up to move into your city within 24 hours of you placing the CITY HALL (guild hall won't do anything), or you'll just lose it. Incidentally, the building styles allowed on Dantooine are Naboo, Tatooine, and Generic. You'll have to talk to an architect about getting a city hall.

Forming a guild can also be rewarding though, and if you work and hard and are creative you can get almost the same benefits of a small city (you'll never be able to have your own cloning center or shuttle port, but everything else can be compensated for by setting up relatively close to an established city). Our guild had a small pseudo-city going until we found out that there was a city space on Dantooine at which point we relocated.

How can I find out if there is or is not space on Tatooine on the Radiant Server for a new player city?

Is there a web site or a way to find out in game?

The only way is to find and count up every city. Since all cities cannot end up on the map, you will have to search for them. I will save you the trouble and repeat what I said earlier. Tatooine on ALL servers has reached its cap. EVERYONE wants a city on Tatoonie, Nabooor Corellia. Those 3 have the smallest cap. Player cities have been out since November. The three core planets filled the cap on the same day as the player city patch and on the day the cap was raised.

Best luck would be on Rori or Talus. You could, if you wanted to, just try to place a city hall and see if it works, but if it doesnt then you will have to try to place it on Dantooine or Lok as those two planets accept Tatooine city hall deeds.

if your gungho about being part of a PC on tat get to know all the mayors of all the cities and find out who is happy about being mayor and who isnt if you work hard getting to be mayor is possible. being one can be rewarding but also a tough job, and as exciting as it is tocreate a city working in a pre-existing one can be just as fun, and friends can be made anywhere.
