My city is in the process of moving from one city to another. We placed the new city hall with a new mayor and citizens have been moving and declaring their residency in the new city. Our intent was to keep the old city up for as long as possible so that citizens could use the starport for as long as possible.
However, last night the mayor of theold city placed a house just outside the new city and declared it her residence.
Does anyone know what the outcome might be? I had to log off before having a chance to investigate.

So long as the maintenance on the city has been paid and the city still has a minimum population of 10 citizens you will be fine. If you do not meet the requirement of 10 citizens (Of which you will be counted as one), you will permanently loose the deed to your city hall. But with the new maintenance rules that came out with the last publish I'm not sure what happens if you fail to pay maintenance on the city hall.

For as long as I have been reading the threads, I coulda sworn City Hall was the mayor's residence. If it is, how could she have declared residence elsewhere?
I tried to set up a house in my city a couple of weeks ago and was told that I couldn't declare.

Ok, this is weird... dual citizenship???
I wanted to check out the status of our old city because our old mayor had declared her residence near our new city. I just didn't see how that was possible.
When I looked at the old City Term I found something even more boggling. Almost all of our citizens (59 of them) are stilllisted.Even the mayor of the new city islisted as a citizen of the old city.

You need to use the Revoke Citizenship function on the city terminals. It's a bug that's existed for months and I believe the sticky at the top says that to not do so is considered exploiting a bug.
