As of sometime overnight while I was in bed, my city, New Kabala on Lok in the Lowca Galaxy, became the newest level 3 city. Thanks in part to a small guild collapsing, and some of their members joining us, we now have 36 citizens. We expect to get at least 4 or 5 more from that old guild as well. Today after work, New Kabala will appear on the Lokian Planetary Map for all to see. We also plan on erecting a Medical Center and Cloning center in town tonight. We also will become an improved job maket. I also plan on contracting an architect to build some gardens, as well as some memorial statues for some of our founding members.

It's been hard to grow as a city, as our city is just for our guild, and not an open city for others to live in, but we finally reached the first of our 2 goals. next, we are looking forward to our shuttleport.

Sometime next weekend we will hold a large fireworks display in town to mark our acheivement.

Congrats. Our city has been around for 6 months and we just hit 18 people last night. We are pushing Quality of our players over quantity though. Can't wait to hit 35 someday to get on the map.

Congrats again!

Myself, and some of our founders have the same philosophy. I'd much rather have 1 good, active player join our city than 10 people we'll never see or hear from again.

Some of our citizens are in such a rush to get a shuttleport that they just can't understand this way of thinking. i do see where they are coming from though, as it is a 3km bike ride from nym's to our city, and with publish 12.1, there have been many more aggresive spawns on the trip to town, but will maintain my quality over quantity philosophy.

but sure, anyone can throw a bunch of credits, free swoop, free house, free everything at poeple to get them to join, but once a better offer comes along, they'll leave and move to the better deal city. i do offer a small tatooine house to anyone who joins, if they do not already have a house of their own, but that is simply my personal investment in the city, taken from my personal bank account, not from the city's money.

Stargate is the same way quality over quantity. We are almost 1 year old now and holding at about 60 citizens (most of them are active). We grew slow, steady and that is how I intend to keep us going.

Congrats on becoming a level 3 city I remember how exciting that was
