I did a search and come up dry, so here I ask my question;
I have a couple people in my city that placed houses just outside the limits when it was an outpost. Now that we grew, they are inside the city and using the house to launch ambushes on our returning overts or teffed players running faction missions. From inside the house, the can see out, but we cannot tell when they are in or not. This had led to some very nasty name calling etc...
So, my question is, how do I remove the house from the city? OR is there a way to super tax only that house?

In a nutshell, you can't do diddly squat. My advice is to shoot them an email asking them to join you. If you can't find their name on the house, you will eventually run into them. Just ask. No matter what, don't greif them. You're stuck with them, make the best of it.

Their names will be found in the list of residents in city hall. If you know all who were already residents, by simple deduction you can determine who they are.

What an ass I am. I didn't read your whole post. I would place statues in front of thier houses, being careful not to completelyblock the doors. You can also name the statues something like "Griefing overts live here, proceed with caution".
If they dont declare residence, they are not a citizen and will not be found on the citizen list in city hall.

citybanned individuals can come into the city, and you can't cityban citizens.

You could maybe report them for harrasment or something if they are the only ones doing the name calling, that is if the name calling is offensive. Not just childish stuff of course, its an extreme measure but if they get banned...

Well, you really can't stop someone from going after overts and TEF's and it's NOT harassment.You certainly don't walk around TEF or overt without consequences in other cities.
No, you can't force anyone out of your city and if you super tax them, you'll be super taxing all of your citizens.
No, you can't place statues or lamps to 'purposefully' obstruct anybody.
Nasty name calling won't make any situation better.
All I can say is - many things (PvP, GCW, Player Cities etc..) are being looked at and will come but fairness, abuse and expolits have to be worked out as well.

justG - We are currently concerned about mayor resignations and city turnovers, so we are looking at that soon. As to citywarn and cityban, there are some larger issues surrounding griefing with these commands that are being looked at too

Pappi is correct, they can come into the city limits, but they cannot use city services like the bank, shuttle, cloning ctr, or garage....perhaps if they did not have ready access to these services, they would leave for easier prey for their grief tactics.....so if your city has a shuttle, and its out in the middle of nowhere, this type of thing may work....

Im aware of that texxie......I just figured if they were hangin around to grief, they wouldnt declare because then they'd have to pay taxes...../shrug
I had an issue with one of my citizens doing a similar thing....I just rasied taxes to an insane level, and refunded the rest of my citizens except the griefer....he didnt stay long after that......

If they're not citizens, you can /cityban them but then they can easily just declare residency and get around it... the only real, and legal, way to get rid of them is just, as you did, Tax the heck out of 'em.

If they are truly grieving then just wait for them to do it again and do a harrassment report.
