Thread: /destroyStructure bug with gardens is potentially fatal to a city
I've briefly searched, and since I haven't found any subjects which cover several of the issues with city-"gardens", here's what I've found today.
When crafted, the "garden" does not retain the deed-name you set for it - so, you get a dozen "Deed for: Medium Garden" and have no idea which "variant" you had chosen.
Today I had an architect make a Corellian Arches (medium garden deed)(http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/images/gardens/corellia_garden_medium_03.jpg). This came out as a simple arrangement. We know without a doubt, that we had the correct garden variant when we made it. Fine, what ever - we know these are gonna cost alot, so I continued, /bugged it,and made more.
Well, when placing a few more, we noticed that if it's placed on a hill which is half as high as a generic small house (or greater), there will be a large gap beneath the "platform" that the garden sits on, allowing you to see beneath it. Fine, bug that'll probablybe fixed.
Well, upon selecting to /destroyStructure, I wasn't paying attention to the name of the structure which appeared. "Shuttleport".At least now I know I can re-deed city-structures. After this I payed special attention to the message, I then went to destroy the garden next to our city hall and received: Confirm Destroy Structure (City Hall listed).
Uhm, no thanks. I like it where it is. So far, it does not appear as though you can distroy thegarden you select to destroy, unless there's nothing else anywhere near it. If there are two adjacent "gardens", you must select the opposite before you can re-deed the one you wanted to remove.
Just be careful upon re-deeding gardens, because it WILL without an option, destroy an adjacent civic structure before allowing you to destroy / re-deed the desired garden.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I was going to place a large garden in front of city hall. Until I get that box I was going to have a medium there instead. Now I think I will hold off.. this sounds like it could destroy our hall if I try to redeed the medium garden.
Good thing I didn't find out the hard way. Thanks for theheads up.

WOAH yes thank you for posting this bug I hope the Devs hotfix this ASAP!!! OMG can you imagine the terror of a city DESTROYED for simply wanting to move a garden? Talk about a gams stopper... would you rebuild the city? I know I wouldn't I'd go buy Horizon's or FFXI and leave the SWG beta world forever ![]()
Any information on ability to "turn" a garden without redeeding it? like we can statues and fountains?
We can not see in deed mode which dirrection any garden items face. ![]()
So if I place a garden on each side of my shuttle port and they are facing wrong dirrection I risk losing my shuttleport if I redeed the garden? *sigh*
Thank you very much. We were going to place a garden by our city hall as well.
