Today we should ahve reached rank 3. We had an update, met all the requisites for it.....but when the update came it gave us "Next Update in: error" message, the politician gaine dno XP, and the city did not advance as it should have.

We had our hall up int he first few minutes fo the second city patch (where they raised the cap) so i do not forsee anyoen having "beaten" us to ti because we had been set up pretty fast. My belief is the devs flunked up and because they instilled a cap of 15 rank 3 cities on each starting planet, that a bunch of cities all tried to advance at once and no one can get thru the door......or soem peopel did and other who should have didnt.

It takes upwards to 1 day for the update to go through it took our city about 5 hours.

You might not have waited for it to finish... but never assume you must have been first to place. Pretty much everyone that placed on major planets did so within the first few minutes. I went and found nine out of ten of the new cities on our Naboo. The difference between most updates times is down to seconds. You also can't know if other cities were big enough unless you've visited them.

I know on our Naboo, four cities were ready to advance. One was missing. So even if the missing one is big enough, all of those ready should get a level 3 spot. If we do/don't, then I'll have definate proof either way of whether the cap is working.

This occured to me last night as well.... Should have hit at 3am and got a City Initialization error... No Politician XP either....

The caps seem to be working fine. We updated to rank three, along with the others who should have.
