Thread: Can someone answer this question please?
Ok our current mayor does not want to be a politican anymore so you we another guy thats running but they way it looks he will not get enough votes before the next election. Now if our current mayor drops politican will the other person thats running against him automatically win the race?

unfortunately no, the only way (right now) to not be the mayor anymore is to lose the election...we had the same problem and the old mayor dropped politician - didnt help...

If the mayor were to drop politician entirely before the next election, would that have any impact on the city, such as unincorporating it, etc?
BTW, I'm the no good mayor Norda is referring to 
I placed a city hall, then lost the election so I'm not mayor. Do I get my building slots back (does the city hall even take slots?)?
No, the city hall doesn't use up any of the mayor's lots. I'm just need to get my skill points back asap to level up in my other professions but I'm afraid if I drop politician while I'm still mayor, the then mayorless town would go poof. Don't want that to happen 
do you have someone else who is trying to become mayor and is running? if so, i think you'll be ok as he/she will have the majority of votes, im not sure what would happen to a mayorless city though...yikes!
There is someone else in the race, so the question is if he drops novice poly will the other guy automatically be mayor? We dont want to loose the shuttle and all that.
