Thread: Must I keep Novice Politician?

I'm a Mayor, have been since cities came out. Currently I've gone back down to novice politician to free up my skillpoints, and have been actively campaigning for my opponent. I desperately want to be relieved of my Mayorship


Recently a fellow Mayor advised me that his old city ran just fine AFTER he, as Mayor, surrendered novice politician. I was under the impression that the city deletes itself in that case.


So... can I get some confirmation one way or another? Thanks!

City will be there as long as your maintainence is paid and you don't hit the auto-destruct. You gotta be a politician to run for mayor but you don't have to be politician te BE mayor. Your city will be just fine if you drop your politician skills so long you don't need to adjust taxes or place any buildings (you won't be able to do anything with your city once the skill is gone).
