Thread: Taxes?
Yep, there are some major issues (ie, bugs) with taxes. I've had several conversations with the CSRs, and they've looked into the logs and treasury activity and acknowledged that there is a bug, and passed along the info to the Devs. However, since they don't know exactly how much tax money was lost to the bug, they will not do reimbursements.. At least, none of the CSRs I've spoken to so far....
My advice: File a CSR ticket explaining the situation. Be sure to include your city name, and your above mathematical calculations as proof you are effected by this bug.
Maybe if enough people complain about it, we'll at least see some sort of reimbursement.
One thing that sometimes (though not always) helps for me is to change the tax levels. Switch the Sales tax from 5 to 4, the income tax from 2000 to 1500, etc. Sometimes (though not always) this jars the system just enough for it to work for a little while. Then it breaks again. ![]()
Good luck, and I'd be interested in hearing how any conversations go with the CSRs. ![]()
thanks jasper I'll do them all although i have already filed a ticket (what a pain in the crack that is now huh?)
My whole point here is where are the credits going if not to the treasury?? Why wouldnt I just scrap the tax system all together and just have people make donations which, apparantly what the city is living off of now?
