I am extremely disappointed in the lack of "updates" that the politician profesion recieves in general, infact I haven't seen an update for politicians since the profession went live..........I fully understand that combat professions need a lot of attention, but what other profession grants you the ability to run an entire city? I anxiously read through the patch notes everytime they impliment one to see if we recieved any attention and eveytime a patch note comes and goes I get more frustrated...........

How hard would it be to grant a Mayor the ability to remove player placed non-residental obstacles such as mine fields from within city limits or grant a mayor who wants to leave office the ability to "resign" from the city hall?

I am actually going to resign as mayor, not due to the lack of love, but because I am a WS and thats been taking up a great deal of my time, but the issue before me is trying to get the city to vote me out of office. I have 150 citizens which = 150 incumberant votes and that leaves the person thats going to replace me with quitea hurdle and I am totally dreading this part because unless we can rally the entire friggen city I'll end up being the incumberant until they come out with a way to get out office without all the hoo-ha

It is very frustrating to have to devote my skill points for what is sometimes nothing more than a target for slander. By this, I mean when something someone in my town does pisses off someone else, they come to town, see my name on that terminal and the e-mail barage begins.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE being a mayor. It has to be one of the neatest things I have ever done in a game. It's also very good for RP development, my town is an RP town by the way. It just sucks not having anything to offer my citizens other than an ear and the occasional zoning right grant.

yeah, I gave up what... 7-8 months for politician, for what? a really really big building that cost a bunch to keep maintenace on, a clone center, shuttleport, and bank. Was fun to have compared to walking, then using mounts, then riding to town. but vehicles really don't make these other items all "that" important. still nice to have, just not all that special. and my city being a factional city with HQ's we relied on these items. but for my character to be "gimped", not to mention the slow grind, I think was not a very good pay off.

I want my skillpoints back, but i'd be NUTS to drop master politician, only have 50k xp saved up, thats enough for half the tree. kinda why i have 2 accounts

Our developer is involved deeply with the space expansion so we won't get anything done until it is pushed out. TH said so somewhat recently. That's why we haven't gotten anything but some bugs fixed and no new code.

We have gotten a few things....

We had /cityban removed for us. Lets not forget we had our master skills taken away.

This is disappointing. If somthing doesn't pan out i may slowly degrade politican for Shipwright.

I think you mean /citywarn. We still have /cityban, although its buggy at times.

I agree..... I think the slow responses may be due to the fact that we may be the smallest numbered profession......
