Ok i picked up novice politician, i had 1500 xp and only needed 500 to pick it up. now i am lost. the rest of that XP does not apply to the politician skill tree.

How do i gain XP so that i can increase my level of politician. The only thing i know of that might do it is running for office. And i am i am running for mayor in our player city but as of 3 days after starting the run i still have gained NO xp.

with other professions its rather obvious what i have to do to gain experience. In politician... well its politics and i cant make heads or tales of it. in real life if i just ran around telling Lies i would gain XP. but that doesnt seem to work in this game..

can someone kindly explain to me how i get this XP so that i can increase my politician even though i am not mayor yet, and probably wont be for some time. at least then when i am mayor i will be trained enough that i can properly maintain it.
