I am new to to this Profession and have searched to boards for an answer, so please be kind.
When a player puts up a cantina/med center can he or she declare this as a residents?
Also does this count against there lot count?
Thanks

Yes and Yes. The cantina/hospital are essentially the same as houses. I "think" they require only 3 lots. My memory has big holes in it today due to my 4th month old son deciding that he wasnt going to let dear old dad sleep last night. One question I have is....does the city pay any fees regarding the med center, cantina or theater? I dont think it does, but I want to make sure.

No they dont, Players pay maintenance to them and are not added to the city Fees.
If they do then i am gravely mistaken , but it didnt cost me anymore for one hospital than it did for 6 , thats how many we had in our town. They make nice houses .

And I know personally that my cantina takes up 5 of my lots
Has roughly the same maintenance costs as a large house and can be used as my residence if I so choose (but only if I get voted out of office cause right now city hall is my house
)
As for the hospital I think it takes less lots but you'd have to ask one of them to be sure.
