Honestly, I am finding it hard to find citizen number 10...we have 9.

Why?

I think it's because we are in a far corner of Dantooine and have no shuttle yet so no-one is really interested.

We are on Chimeara and are mainly Australians. I think we have 1 or 2 people who are not from Australia.

We have a guild called Temple Keepers.

I am Novice politician.

How do we need to recruit? Any good ideas? We are not rich and cannot offer houses like some player cities do.

I look forward to a response and thanks.

Try to find people interested in starting a new city. Being here at the very beginning of the city can be very interesting, it's a great adventure, and only a new city like yours can provide this "pioneer" feeling.

I don't think there is an easy answer - but some of the following might help :

1) look out for another guild of a similar size which would complement yours e.g. if you are crafters, then a small PvP guildmight be a good complement to create a internal market and add diversity to your town. Get this new guild to join your city - create the town square area out of the city hall and PA halls, then you can add other civic structures on to the square lateras and when the city grows.

2) hang out round Mos Eisley or any other starting location and advertise to noobs that you are starting a city. Find a friendly architect and get a price for a small house - help the noobson missions untill they can afford the house - they will appreciate the xp as well and you'll get to know them before they move in to the city :-)

3) Look out for a novice architect without a homeor an artisan whoneedsa project to become an architect- they'll have a ready market for houses, buildings and furniture for the foreseeable future, and they'll be able to master architect without grinding gungan head statues (believe me - it worked for me :-)

4) If any of your guild can survey, then start buying harvesters and stockpiling tonnes of low quality ore and low quality metal - 'sell' it to an architect in return for small houses ..... or save it for your 'tame' architect to use :-)

Also - the pioneer spirit idea has already been pointed out by Neekocha. Advertise for people who want to build the city from scratch with a proper design and layout - that is a great selling point IMO

Many thanks, I hope you dont mind but I used a lot of your text in our recruiting post. It was very well written and exactly what I think we need to sell.

Make sure your citizens will be online when the hall is placed!!! I got a window in Naboo on the Chilastra server. So I jumped at it. We had 7 citizens so I took a gamble that I could find 3 more. Well there is a rule that already placed houses don't count uinless the resident comes home. So I had to find 8 members in 24 hours! Some people cam home and helped me out, but I was online until 4 in the morning looking for people.

What I did was go to Theed and Mos Eisley (noob towns) and did /who imperial. To all the unguilded imps I sent a /tell offering them a free house to move to my city. It was amazing how many people came! I did it and now have a city. Of course I am stuck at lev 2 *shakes fist at advancement cap* Since you will be on Dant. you might wanna go to the imp out post there of Correllia to hit up those in transit. Dant isn't too noob friendly so it might be a deturent good luck!!

We hit Mos Eisley and I posted on various other boards as well. Like you, we are in a remote corner of Dant. Offer the house and speeder deal to newbs as well as giving personal help. Starting a city is an expensive endeavor at first, be prepared. You will find that running a city is very rewarding.
