This would be very cool, but there may be technical issues with implementing it since the rest of the profession titles are pulled from a static list.

i cannot fathom it being too technically challenging... Mayor of (reference city they are citizen of)


it's seems simple enough but, true, i don't know the coding.


This is a title we SHOULD have. Mayor offers very little in return for those taking it up. Being able to display that you are the mayor of a city would be a boon. Questions and inquiries would come from people possibly wanting to become citizens.


This 'small' enhancement, i think, would do wonders for our profession and make our lives easier and keeping up city status/recruiting.


It would let people know on sight that you are a respected member of the community and can be the 'spark' that prompts interaction and new friendships and citizenry.


Cities have a hard enough time maintaining citizenry. It is alot of work as people come and go. Turnover is horrendous.


If nothign else, it is an honor to display. At least the mayor should get something for being mayor.

Excellent thought, Dingo. Even the tittle 'Mayor' would be nice. My point exactly on people asking about our citites. I understand that some of the titles are static, but utntil this month, I saw no 'swashbucklers' and 'desparados' running around. Mayor would be nice. It takes no time at all for the PA appreviation to appear after on is guilded. After every successful election, the title of 'mayor' should be available.

As a non-mayor, I would love to see this title for Mayors myself.

As stated earlier, I'd even settle for just "Mayor" under my name. It's rare that I run with the Politician title while I'm away from my city.

We do get the best title in the game, IMHO. I leave "Warmaster" up all the time and must get 5 tells a day asking what profession it is. Phear Me! I am the Warmaster!


The "Mayor of ....." would be an awesome title option, but I'd still prolly keep Warmaster. I don't think that "Mayor" would be an appropriate title though, some ousted politicians aren't mayors anymore

I think that is one of the points of contention. Actual, current Mayors would LIKE to have a title stating such - and what city they are Mayor of. However, many assume this would be near impossible to implement since the position of mayor and of what city CAN change week to week.


Since the devs have shown great initiative in the past in creating odd little nerfs... lets start saying we DON'T want this - because it would be a NERF.. then maybe we'll get it!

I doubt near impossible is quite the word to use here. Acctually, it's a damn far cry from it. Let's look at it like this. Would this be any more difficult than haveing it determine who has Admin on City Hall? What about the ability to place decorations? Access the withdrawl option on the city treasury? How's about getting e-mails when a new building is built or a new resident moves in? Hell, there's even a "Welcome to Anytown" e-mail that is "signed" by the current mayor!


This would be a simple thing to add unless they've got it coded really oddly. Acctually, this would probably be something a Hot Fix could/would address.
