I was speaking with a friend of mine that is a citizen of an abondoned city. So abandoned, that the mayor no longer exists according to SWG. The city does not need zoning rights to place buildings, so i moved in, declared, and registered to run. when i looked at mayoral standings, my name is the only one on the ballot. I got 3 friends to vote for me just incase. When you go to "vote for mayor" you only see my name and abstain.

So my question is, When do i get to be mayor and start rebuilding the city? the update pulse is in a day and the 27 other citizens are all inactive (accounts cancelled but not deleted). I have no idea when the election ends. Any input is appreciated and i hope my question is not stupid or noobish.

U have to wait for the election to finish and u declaer as the winner and that happen each 3weeks

yes every three weeks so i hope for you tomorrow is the end of that period otherwise you will need to wait one or two more weeks.

this just means that the mayor hasn't registered in the current election, not that the city has no mayor. you can use the city terminal to check who the current mayor is.
