Say the Mayor just ups and quites the game....or RL keeps them from logging in....will the buildings poof because no one teneded to their contant maintence? or will other people have administrative rights like houses....if more people can have admin rights then wont people just start mayor mules or trade on other servers....well they will do that any way...

or what if no one else in town has politician XP...will they then have to go search for someone to fill the spot

Yes, if the mayor can not get on and things need to be zoned, or mataince placed in stuff I would sugest you find a new mayor if yours can not play.

Other wise your city will stop growing. He will recived exp per votes, but not training the new skills

1.) My understanding they would either stop working or decay away.

2.) Time to move

1) Elect wise people that can take care of contingencies.

2) Have a backup politician, even if a bot account in case of problems.

3) Once your main guy is a master, if you can spare the voices, powelevel your bot account.

I'm not advocating bots in any way, but it's a good expedient if for some RL reason the mayor must miss one month of play. (Lots of bot doctors around already, by the way).

Best way to deal with the tall guys is to give them incentives to lick the ground. And dont look down on me that way youre not THAT taller.

My understanding is this: If the city rank IV+ allows for a SHUTTLEPORT and one is placed by mayor that building doesn't stop working unless the city rank falls below IV. Remember, the Mayor doesn't "own" the shuttleplot... he's just the caretaker. The building is owned by the city. If a mayor change occurs and the new mayor isn't high enough skill to place a shuttle port the shuttleport should continue to operate. The new mayor just isn't able to place the deed.

Come to these boards and post on your server's forums. I'm sure that any area with a town hall and no mayor will be attractive tosome would-be politician.

Luckily they just announced that anyone can contribute money to the city treasury, so at least you won't run out of dough as long as someone wants to put in cash. Of course I've no idea if everyone can look at the city's balance.
