It hadn't occurred to me before, but it does seem that requiring someone to master Politician as part of their Jedi quest would go a long way toward ensuring that part of being a Jedi would be to maintain a high level of wisdom and maturity, and not simply camping holocrons with a flamethrower and 2 Rancors and then grinding away at random professions. I think Jedi that have to do this would have to be mature, well spoken, and much more in line with the kind of conduct we would expect to see of a Jedi in any other Star Wars venue. Idread the day I see a Jedi dancing in his underwear, macroshoutingsomething that begins with "d00d..."

And for anyone that views Politician to be extraordinarily un-Jedi like, just take a look at Palpatine after all
