Thread: I can't get elected. Please Help!

Hi,
The mayor of my city has decided to take a break from the game and asked me to run for mayor of the city. I picked up Novice Poilitician and registered 4 days after the previous election. On the voting terminal, my name is listed along with "Abstain" but the incumbent mayor is not on there.
I managed to pick up about 12 votes but at the end of the election, the incumbent mayor won.
Our city is small and half the population hasn't logged in for months. Is it possible that the mayor gets all non-voting citizen's vote by default? Since his name is not on the ballot box and mine is, i'm wondering if there is something I missed.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Quick question:
Did you get an e-mail stating that the election was over and the incumbent mayor was victorious? There is often quite a bit of confusion among players over when an election is supposed to end.
If you *did* get that e-mail, you'll need to file a Customer Service ticket using the in-game Holocron (ctrl+H) and use the "Submit a Ticket" option. Be sure to include a waypoint to the city hall, the date/time of the e-mail stating the previous mayor had won the election as well as the voting totals.

Yes I did. I registered to run for the election 4 days after that last election (the one where the incumbent mayor was victorious). I remember getting the email saying I had entered the race. I am a city citizen as I have a declared residence in town and I am listed as a citizen in City Hall. After getting the 12 votes our incumbent mayor was still elected.
I bet if I submit a ticket a CSR will just tell me to /bug it. ![]()
Thanks for all the replies

Just wondering the following:
- Has the incumbent Mayor also register to run?
- How many votes did he get?
- You registered 4 days after the last cycle, how long ago was that?
