My Guild Recently Created a City, and we were Considering becomeing a StrongHold to Give milita members a better Defence to Bounty Hunters that where Hunting Guild Jedi Inside the City, However Because Citywarn was Removed we are Unable to do this, it would be Good For Milita members to Be able to Defend Their Cityzens Includeing jedi. And that is why am asking for the Support Of Any one Intrested in helping out your Fellow Cityzen by Defending him from a Bounty Hunter

huh?

If you're asking for a reinstatement of /citywarn it will never, ever happen. Everyone agrees that Militia does need to be made useful and most of the current city specializations are of no use. I think the main specializations most are choosing to go with these days are Research, Manufacturing, or Improved Job Market.

If you look thru the various threads on the Politician Forums you will find that many are talking about the Militia issue and that right now they are just a glorified zoning board. When you think "Militia" you think "Police". Well, since most things are considered griefing in this game these days nothing will be brought back like we saw with /citywarn. However, you do have theall powerful/cityban option

On the subject of specializations: Stronghold...

I was under the impression that it worked for any PvP in the city. Did it only work against those who were city warned when the option was still around?

And then on the subject of city warn:

If the /citywarn command is added again, it will not be like it used to be. I would personally like it to be used as a way to keep people actually out of the city, something more powerful than city ban. Once you city ban people rightfully, they freak out and start loitering. A command to actually keep them outside the city would be great, but probably won't be implemented due to abuse.

Your impression would be correct - here is what stronghold does and has done for as long as i've been a mayor (Jan04)

Stronghold: Gained at Martial Policy III, 150k per week. Militia members ina Stronghold get a +50 bonus to all defense rolls against other players (PvP).

I think CptHawk is right...The militia position should be given more power to defend in the cities, to protect jedi especially. With the strong increase in Jedi in all the servers, there is a lot more Bounty Hunting of Jedi. The town's that the jedi live in should be made safer for them, and if other members of their town/guild can help them through the militia option, so be it!

Reinstate /citywarn plz!!

How many times does this need to be explained? Citywarn is not coming back.

Won't happen and you're right, it'd lead to griefing.
