As far as I understand it through reading all the FAQs, the only way I, as a novice politician and mayor of a city, have to get xp is through the election, and the election runs on a three week cycle. Correct?

Actually I was about to post a smiliar question.

How is the XP worked out for a Novice Politician? Does the amount of XP they earn depend on how many votes are cast?
