I'm soooo frustrated in how once again the devs seem to make politicians feel worthless. When I saw that all players would benefit from double xp for the 2 yr anniversary..I was very excited. Seeing it takes forever and we're very limited in how we get xp..this was the perfect oppotunity to cash in and finally get the tools I needed to successfully run my city. So on Monday morning I logged in expecting to see a ton of politician xp for the election ending...only to realize that it didn't end. After some research, I was informed that every time the servers go down..the internal clock for your town stops...thus delaying elections, advancements and such. I was quite upset. Just because my city's election, as well as many other's I'm sure, didn't happen to fall during this double xp period..politicians do not get to benefit from this "gift". Gee...somehow that doesn't seem fair at all. I can't think of any other proff that wasn't able to benefit...so why should only ours suffer??? While I highly doubt it will happen...it'd be nice if for once the devs would show a little /respect and do something to benefit us also.
**btw...to make matters worse..when I logged in Tuesday after the hotfix...my city's election had ended. Seems I missed out on double xp while the servers were down..hmmmm...funny how that happened....

True it's disappointing that all politicians did not get double xp during the 2yr gift period it's understandable that the gift was mainly aimed at those new players just starting out and the people grinding towards Jedi.

That wasn't the 2 year reward it was just a 'hey it's our anniversary here ya go' type thing. They didn't put any thought behind it beyond 'what can we do that won't screw things up or involve a whole lot of work?'
