Thread: City Structure Report and limits....
Our "City Structure Report" currently lists
Registered Civic Structures: 29
This includes the City Hall, Bank, Shuttle, Cloning, one fountain, three streetlamps.... but it ALSO includes all of our mission terminals and trainers.
If this is in fact all counted against our max of 31 at Rank 5, then we will have to make a choice between trainers and our long-awaited gardens. Can anyone else with a Metropolis and lots of trainers/mission terminals please compare notes here? Are Trainers and Mission Terminals counted against the Civic Structure limit total?
I agree with an earlier poster that streetlamps should not count against the city total... perhaps they should be on a list of their own, with a limit, to avoid a wall of lights, but which wouldallow us to make thecity look less like London during the Blitz.
Our grand Metropolis is starting to shape up as a 3rd world backwater.

anything placed by the mayor and only the mayor actualy counts... actually I'm thinking that's why they did the +1 to count for the hall
so yes... all trainers, mission terminals, streetlights, fountains, statues, gardens, shuttleports, banks, cloning centers, +1 city hall count towards the cap.
I've said it before and will say it again... if it requires a deed then it should count. remove gardens from the decorations physical cap... create a new cap if you like for them.. and remove trainers, terminals sattues fountains etc. which do not require deeds, from the virtua cap..
second solution... allow us to drop items on the outside of our buildings and pull them from the buildings inventory alotment... ie on stairs, balconies, etc. and that would aleviate some of the total city decorations and still allow the city to be beautified.

I can't believe the test center cities weren't more upset to have to suddenly reduce everything by so much? It must have hit them to suddenly have decorations, terminals etc count under such a small limit. 31 is not a lot when it counts everything the city can have, and most cities won't get to the metropolis allowance anyway.
It would be good to know if this system is going to change. It makes a lot more sense to let everything be limited by its own caps, and have civic structures as literally the structures like gardens and shuttleports. Especially if they aren't going to raise the caps again as they say, making the limits a bit more livable per city would be a good thing. Or we're going to end up with lots of very empty looking cities.
one mayor on TC had his city maint jump from roughly 400k to over 5 mil credits...
I think, if I read the patch notes correctly, that this won't happen to us. The penalty will not take effect until the week after the infraction... but I'm not taking any chances... I'm pulling everything friday

The patch notes say that the cap is on civic structures, buildings and gardens. It does not say decorations, terminals or trainers. But it goes on to say anything owned by the city. I wish they would clarify this.
It is crazy that they give us all this stuff but we can't use it
Structure: City hall, cloning center, shuttleport, bank =4
Skill trainers = 15
Mission terminals = 3 (could add artisan, entertainer, faction)
So I can have a total of9 fountains, streetlights, statues, gardens?
I hate to think that you have to decide between trainers and street lights.
So my rank 4 city has gone from 40 'Structures', whatever that really is, to 28...
...all because some board crybabies wanted rank 3 cities, i have no idea what for, and SOE wanted to ease the server load. It's a shame 8000 unattended vehicles in Theeddidn't add to server load, Oppsss, that's fixed. Too bad Politicians, xp, structures, reports, city zones, citizenship, ect are not considered 'vehicle bugs', maybe we'd see some action.
It all smells like bantha dung to me.
