Is it worth placing a theater, other then for looks?

a theatre serves no practical purpose other than r/p value.

It helps support the arguement that some of thedesigners aretotally out of touch with the players.

Cities are a social tool, not an achiever tool, IMO. So Theatre is a great item.

master dancer or musician can place.. maybe master entertainer.


City must be a level 4 city.


The theatres are fairly worthless imo. You cannot drop items/props on the stage to put on a real play which is pretty much a requirement to make this an effective structure for those who wish to use it as a theatre normally is used.


designers = completely out of touch with how structure would be used

Theaters are like cantinas, without the healing, and are good places for weddings. They are good for meetings also.

While they can still be used as a social tool, they are very small and don't accept props onstage. They also require support of achiever-types to pay the weekly fees they add to the city. The combination was an issue for players on the test server and were never addressed by the designers.

Ill get one for the achiever purposes, but for dancing ill use my cantina and for speeches and meetings ill use my city hall thank you very much.
