Thread: How do you become a Politician?

I am Kejock of the Ketemoor Galaxy. And wanan know how to become a Politician. I just don't know! Please respond to mevia email on SWG! I don't get the apprenticeship thing everyone is talking about! Thanks!

I'll post my answer here anyway...
Apprenticeship is awarded when you teach someone a skill. If you have Rifles 1, and someone's shouting that they want it taught, then group with then and teach them it. You will be awarded these points. The higher up the skill tree you teach, the more app points you get.
Once you accumulate 500 Apprenticeship points, find a Politician trainer. Talk to him and learn Novice Politician for 100 credits.

My friends and I want to start a new guild in ahazi on talus and have our own city, but I don't know how to become a politician. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

The novice box is the easy part. Were it gets hairy is city layouts, taxation, funds, militia..etc etc etc. I would first draft a quick plan of action. What I mean is. Pick you a nice place....or footprint as it is called by some. and place a city hall. I would advise placing your city hall where you have the ability to drop at least 30 houses in the radius of the city hall structure. As your population increases you will see a challenge. (IE. fitting folks into the small radius thus giving you the required citizens for the next rank.) Remember that some buildings......cantinas and med centers must be owned by a master doc (med ctr) and cantina (entertainer,dancer, or musician). The city hall does NOT pay maint on these structures so beware. I would be very cautious about granting zoning to people you do not trust. Everyone can tell you horor stories about this. Please feel free to continue this discussion if I did not sufficiently cover your questions. Also, drop a politician trainer in your city. This will help you when you advance in level.

Novice politician> pay the politician trainer> capitol city of your planet> on the steps of the capitol building
Look on planet map to find the capitol. Naboo is Deeja Peak =not= Theed. Really...

One thing i've found also is that to never carry all the weight yourself. Although you're the politician you'd collapse if you had to do everything youself. Delegate out jobs that don't require politician skils such as fundraising.
