Thread: is it supposed to take me 8 months to master politician?

I'm really just curious, I've been mayor of a city (city size more than 55 people) ever since they changed the voting and exp system and was able to take over from a non logging mayor. I admit it's been hard to get a lot of people to vote, seems most people don't really care bout it as we have a rather laid back city. Usually average a whopping 10 people voting per week (although I guess in reality a 20% voter turnout isn't that bad compared to real life)

So... after all this time, I am only 2/3/3/4 politician! and am almost to my second 4th lvl box. I have to ask, why does it take half a year to master a profession that has very few uses to begin with?

Just very frustrating to me, watching that xp trickle in so slowly. Makes my lekku go grey.

Unless people vote for you each election and you for yourself, yes it will take that long or longer. 100 per vote and 700 per election win I think is what's on the faq. You gotta get after your people to vote each time if you are trying to master.

There should be some politician mission terminals so you can go to waypoint A, do some politicking, go to waypoint B, make the two sides agree ona new law or something, and poof some politician xp

I think I got it roughly in about 4 or 5 months as well. Averaged about 22 votes a week until I Master'd. Then I averaged about 1 a week afterwards.
