Well, we have one particular slope that could use some houses, but is unable to be built upon. If this is an extra relaxation of requirements, that would be beautiful.

Small houses have been relaxed to a very comfortable level, but there are still a few structures that would be relaxed. Large and PA sized houses are very tough to place on some planets. A few structures that I think really need to be reduced in size and relaxed are some of the harvestors, wind gen and most important factories. Factories have a huge foot print and they don't like any hill, ditch or bump. Factories can kill a city with its large footprint. Every 2 weeks we have been moving them back and it is becoming a long run to get to them.

Don't forget Merchant Tents! These small structures have incredibly large footprints and seem to have the placement issues that large houses and harvester have. It's a shame I can place a small house in an area that I can't build a tent

I saw this is the dev patch notes:
Player Houses
Player buildings (houses & city structures) now have much more forgiving placement tolerances. You should be able to build on the side of hills and over small gutters you weren't able to build on before. Also, the first time a structure is built it will no longer snap to the lowest possible point on the terrain (this sometimes caused doors to be buried)
Is this an additional terrain requirement relaxation, or is it just a restate of the previous changes (we all know how patch notes have a bad habit of stating changes already in place)?

This sounds like the original relaxing. It's pretty forgiving already. Not sure they need to do it again.
